IT People Sponsors NCTA Flagship event “State of Technology

IT People sponsored the “mobile app” for the NCTA Annual event held on May 15th, at the Sheraton Imperial in Durham. The event was attended by more than 600 registrants and supported by over 15 sponsors.

The IT People logo flashed in brilliant red and blue on the app and was viewed by over 400 participants. The key note address by John Kelly (IBM) was very revealing of the state of things to come. At lunch, Dan Forest, Lt. Governor of NC, provided some great insights into disruptive technologies and how the state is working on several technology fronts. Many of the breakout sessions were very informative.

IT People had a booth right at the exhibitor’s entrance and was actively managed by Ayanna, Heather, Mohan, Sam and Mark. Our booth was supported with some sponsorship from iThinqware, Hortonworks and Red Hat. Our active marketing for both analytics and public safety included a white paper on “Big Data Analytics in Public Safety and Safety Tipping” which was picked up by many participants. A number of registrants expressed interest in our analytics capabilities especially with the Hortonworks Hadoop Platform. Our booth was visited by a number of key executives at the event.
